Remembering 9/11

St. Charles will be marking the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with several opportunities for prayer.

There is a 9/11 Remembrance Table set up on the left side of the church. If you would like to write a small note or prayer request, please feel free to drop it into the basket. Father Ed will offer up the requests at the masses on Sunday, September 11 and offer a blessing to those memories. Sealing envelopes are available for anyone who wishes to keep their request private.

At the beginning of all of the Masses on September 11, Father Ed will be performing the rite of blessing and sprinkling of holy water (Asperges). If you would like to take some holy water from this day home with you, please bring a suitable clean bottle.

Fr. Ed will be joining the other members of the Brooklyn Heights Clergy Association in holding a communal 9/11 ceremony on the Promenade from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. that day.
