Medieval love songs inspired by Arthurian Romance

The American ensemble Asteria (Sylvia Rhyne, soprano, and Eric Redlinger, lute and tenor) are known for their intimate and sumptuous performance style, and the emotional immediacy of their interpretations of late medieval and renaissance vocal and instrumental music. For this event, they will be performing the critically praised program that they recently performed for the popular Bargemusic concerts. If you missed it then, treat yourself now!
Tickets are only $20 suggested donation (cash or check with ID) at the door, and includes a reception with the artists following the concert!
What they say about “Asteria”
…meltingly beautiful…deeply expressive, intimate and often haunting interpretations…his lute playing was appealingly fresh…Ms. Rhyne sang with a clean, eloquent voice, subtle vibrato and a sure sense of diction.
